Crowns
A crown is a dental restoration that covers an entire tooth. Crowns are often suggested for teeth that are heavily broken down or at high risk of substantial failure. Crowns can be made of a variety of materials. Some of these include porcelain, metal (gold), porcelain fused to metal and others. If a crown is recommended, your dentist will review with you the material options best suited for your situation. Treatment is usually completed in two appointments.
